i am switching from authy to verify and in the first step i created a service and verifications and sent a code to user now user entered that code and checked weather it is correct or not through "verification_checks" . Now i am on a stage where register a user for 2fa through register_user.

currently i am using Authy::API.register_user() and it is returning empty object and in errors i get "Account has been suspended" and in fact it is not.

i am just confused how i am gona register user in verify api. is it need at all or not.

  • Hey there - great question - the data model for Verify is different, so there's no notion of a user and therefore you can't register one.

entered that code and checked weather it is correct or not through "verification_checks"

It sounds like you've successfully used Verify for SMS! The stage to register a user for 2FA doesn't exist in the Verify API - instead you could mark the user's phone number as "verified" in your database and then send them another SMS OTP when they log in. In case you haven't seen this, here's more details on migrating: https://www.twilio.com/blog/migrate-authy-to-verify
