Can I sendDigits with studio? I need my connect_call to dial an extension

Hello, first time using Studio and I'm building an IVR. I'm happy with it so far, but I have one user option that connects the call to the sales team. Unfortunately, that number requires an extension. Within Studio, can I set up my connect_call widget to send the digits, so the caller isn't prompted for an extension?

I'm open to alternatives as well, though I'm not really a programmer (hence using Studio).

Hi @ttuff , I can definitely see why you would like this feature. We currently have it as a pending feature request and I'd be happy to can an eye on that for you. In the meantime, I would suggest writing a Function to return the needed TwiML and invoking it with the Run Function widget.

Hi! I'm trying to figure out the same thing myself. I tried connecting the "connect_call" widget to a "say_play" widget, selecting "digits" and inputing the extension. It seems this is what the Say/Play widget is designed for? Or will it not work with the call forwarding widget?

How does one do this? What type of funciton needs to be written to dial extension digits after forwarding a Twilio number to a destination number? Thanks!

Is there example code to call for replacing the connect_call feature and add the Dial Digits?

I understand you want to dial an extension once the outbound call is placed from the Studio flow, instead of using Connect call To widget please make use of the Outgoing call Widget where you can dial in an extension in Senddigits property.
